Meta Ads in Pindash

What your Facebook and Instagram campaigns cost and what they really sell in your store. Pindash matches Meta’s spend with your real orders and calculates ROAS on your sales, always apart from Google.

  • Read-only permission (ads_read)
  • ROAS on your store’s orders
  • Always kept apart from Google

What you see in Pindash

Everything appears in Acquisition, next to the orders and net sales of each channel and campaign.

  • Advertising summary: spend, attributed sales and ROAS in Pindash, plus Meta clicks and impressions for the period.
  • Cost and ROAS for each channel and each campaign, with its orders and net sales.
  • What Meta claims (purchases and their value), shown apart and labeled, to compare with your store’s orders.
  • Campaigns with spend but no matched sales: no spend gets left out.

ROAS in Pindash = attributed net sales ÷ spend. It isn’t profit: it doesn’t subtract product costs or expenses.

What data Pindash reads

For each campaign and day
Spend, impressions and clicks, plus the purchases and value Meta claims (a single purchase type, so nothing is counted twice), in the account’s currency.
From your accounts
Names and IDs of the ad accounts and their campaigns.
History
Going back as many months as your plan includes. It always rereads the last 28 days, which Meta can still correct.

What it doesn’t read or change

  • Data about the people who see or click your ads.
  • Anything that changes campaigns, budgets, audiences or ads.
  • Meta’s purchases never count as your sales: your sales are always your store’s orders.

How to connect

  1. In Pindash, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect with Meta. The account owner or an admin can do it.
  2. Sign in with a Facebook user that has access to the ad accounts and allow read access.
  3. Choose which ad accounts Pindash reads.
  4. Assign each account the stores it advertises and save. Pindash starts reading the spend within minutes.

Pindash only asks for the ads_read permission, which is read-only: it can’t create or change anything in your ad account.

While Meta reviews the Pindash app, we need to give you access before you can connect your account: get in touch and we’ll turn it on.

Requirements

  • Your store connected to Pindash and saving the source of its orders.
  • A Facebook user with access to the ad account.
  • To match each campaign by its ID: utm_id={{campaign.id}} in your ads’ “URL parameters”. Without an ID, Pindash matches by campaign name.
  • Meta’s authorization expires after about 60 days: Settings shows the date and a notice the week before so you can reconnect.

To match each campaign with its orders, your store needs to save the source of its orders: in PrestaShop, with the Pindash module and attribution turned on; in WooCommerce 8.5 or later, with nothing to install. See True Source.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about this integration.

Why doesn’t the ROAS in Pindash match Ads Manager?

Meta counts purchases with its own model and attribution window, and may count a sale that Google also claims. Pindash uses your store’s real orders and the channel each one came from. You’ll see both figures, each labeled.

Why is Meta always kept apart from Google?

Meta’s policies require it, and adding up platforms that claim the same sale would give a total that doesn’t exist. Each platform has its own card, cost and ROAS.

Can Pindash change my campaigns?

No. The ads_read permission only allows reading, and Pindash blocks any call that isn’t a read before it leaves.

Does it include Instagram?

Yes: it reads the campaigns in your Meta ad account, whether they run on Facebook, Instagram or Meta’s other placements.

How do I disconnect it?

In Settings → Integrations, click “Disconnect”: we revoke the authorization in Meta immediately. The spend already read is kept for 30 days so you can export it or reconnect, unless you choose to delete it now.
