True Source · Pindash technology
See which channel brings in every sale.
What Analytics misses, your store already saved. With True Source, Pindash’s technology, every order carries its channel —search engines, campaigns, social media, email or direct visits— read from the order itself, alongside what you actually got paid.
WooCommerce: nothing to install. PrestaShop: with our free module, the same one that connects your store in one click.

Why Analytics doesn’t see all your sales.
Most tools attribute each purchase with a tag that has to run in the shopper’s browser when they finish checking out. If it doesn’t run, the sale exists but its source is lost, and whatever wasn’t measured that day can’t be recovered.
-
Blockers and rejected cookies
Shoppers who block ads or reject analytics cookies still buy, but leave no trace in the tool.
-
Payment gateways
Many confirm the payment without the shopper returning to the “thank you” page, which is usually where the tag fires.
-
Privacy-focused browsers
They shorten the life of analytics cookies, so the campaign that brought the shopper in a few days ago is no longer recognized.
True Source works the other way around: it starts from all the real sales in your store and gives each one its source. In a real WooCommerce store, 299 of its last 300 orders had their channel.
Your store saves the source, right with the order.
True Source reads it through the same read-only connection Pindash already uses for your sales.
-
WooCommerce
In the dashboard
Nothing to install. Since version 8.5, WooCommerce saves where the shopper came from with every order. Pindash reads it and sorts it into channels; if your store was already saving it, you’ll also see the source of orders placed before you connected.
-
PrestaShop
With the module
With our free module. It’s the same one you use to connect your store to Pindash in one click. Turn on “Order source” in its settings and it will keep the source only in a browser session cookie and add it to the order when the purchase is confirmed.
It doesn’t record visits without a purchase or load third-party scripts. You’ll see sources from the day you turn it on. Works with PrestaShop 1.7.5 or later.
Which channel brings you the sales that matter.
In the dashboard
Not just how many orders each channel brings in: how much they sell, at what average order value and how that changes compared with the previous period.
-
Sales by channel
Net sales, orders, average order value and customers for each channel, per store or all together.
-
Every campaign, with its results
Campaigns with UTM parameters show up under their channel, with what they’ve sold.
-
Outside the dashboard, too
In the daily email summary, in the order export and in your AI assistant, with the same numbers.
With True Source, you always know how much of your sales has a source.
Coverage comes before the numbers. Orders without a source aren’t spread across the other channels or counted as direct.
-
With a source
The store saved where the shopper came from, and Pindash assigns the channel.
-
Without a source
The store didn’t save it, for example because the shopper declined tracking. Shown separately.
-
Before tracking started
Orders placed before your store started saving the source. They aren’t zeros.
Your shoppers, protected.
Pindash only uses the source for your sales-by-channel statistics: no advertising, no profiling, no remarketing.
- Only what’s needed. Referring domain, campaign, landing page and device type. Pindash doesn’t import the shopper’s IP address or browser.
- With a time limit. The source linked to each order is deleted after 24 months; after that, only per-channel totals remain.
- In writing. It’s covered by the data processing agreement you sign with Pindash, and we give you the text for your store’s cookie and privacy policies.
- What it can’t see. Ads that are viewed without a click, purchases that start on one device and finish on another, and orders placed before your store started saving the source.
Questions about True Source.
See all FAQsWhat is True Source?
It’s Pindash’s technology for matching every sale to the channel it came from. Instead of relying on what a tag measured in the browser, it reads the source your store saved with the order: on WooCommerce 8.5 or later, its built-in order attribution; on PrestaShop, our free module once you turn on attribution. It always tells you how many of your orders have a source.
Do I need Google Analytics?
No. Pindash doesn’t connect to Analytics or replace it for measuring visits: it measures your sales and gives them their source. You can keep using both.
Can I see my Google Ads or Meta campaigns?
Yes, as paid campaigns, when the ad link carries UTM parameters or the ad’s click ID. Pindash doesn’t connect to your ad accounts, so it doesn’t know what they cost you.
How do I turn it on in PrestaShop?
With the free Pindash module, the same one you use to connect your store: in its settings, “Order source” → “Turn on attribution”. Before that, update your store’s cookie and privacy texts; we give you the texts for Spain, Italy, Mexico and Colombia.
What about my older orders?
On WooCommerce, if your store was already saving the source, you’ll see it on earlier orders too. On PrestaShop, you’ll see it from the day you turn on the module; earlier orders show up as “before tracking started”.
