Google Analytics 4 in Pindash

The conversion funnel for each channel: how many people arrive, view a product, add to cart, start checkout and buy. Visits and steps come from Google Analytics 4; purchases are your store’s real orders.

  • Read-only permission
  • Funnel by channel
  • Purchases = your store’s orders

In testing. For now we only use it on our own accounts, until Google verifies Pindash’s Analytics read permission. Once it’s open to every account it will appear in Settings → Integrations and you’ll see it here as “Available”.

What you see in Pindash

In Acquisition, the conversion funnel for each channel: Visits → Viewed product → Added to cart → Started checkout → Purchased.

  • Each channel’s conversion rate, highlighted, and the step where you lose the most people.
  • The funnel for the channel you choose: paid and organic search, social, email, direct…
  • “Purchased” means your store’s real orders from that channel, the same figure as in Acquisition, never Analytics transactions.
  • If your Analytics doesn’t record a step, the funnel carries on with the others and tells you.

What data Pindash reads

Daily aggregates
Sessions, users, transactions and revenue, plus sessions with the ecommerce events view_item, add_to_cart, begin_checkout and purchase.
By
The session’s channel group, source, medium and campaign.
History
Going back as many months as your plan includes (14 at most). It always rereads the last 4 days, which Google Analytics can still correct.

What it doesn’t read or change

  • No personal data: no individual users, identifiers or IP addresses.
  • Nothing that changes your Google Analytics setup.
  • Analytics transactions never count as your sales or in the funnel.

How to connect

  1. In Pindash, go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect with Google Analytics.
  2. Sign in with a Google user that has access to your store’s GA4 property and allow read access.
  3. Choose the GA4 properties Pindash reads.
  4. Assign each property the stores it measures and save. The funnel appears after the first read, within minutes.

Pindash only asks for Analytics read permission (analytics.readonly): it can’t change anything in your account.

Requirements

  • A Google Analytics 4 property on your store with the recommended ecommerce events (view item, add to cart, begin checkout).
  • Your store connected to Pindash and saving the source of its orders, to count each channel’s purchases.
  • A Google user with access to the property.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about this integration.

Why don’t purchases come from Google Analytics?

Because Analytics doesn’t see every purchase: ad blockers, rejected cookies or payment gateways that don’t return to the store. Your store’s orders are the real figure, the same ones you see in Sales and Acquisition.

When will it be available for my account?

When Google verifies Pindash’s Analytics read permission. Until then we only use it on our own accounts.

Do I need ecommerce set up in GA4?

To see every step, yes: the recommended view item, cart and checkout events. Without them, the funnel shows visits and purchases.

How do I disconnect it?

In Settings → Integrations, click “Disconnect”: we revoke the authorization in Google immediately. What was read is kept for 30 days, unless you choose to delete it now.
