Google Sheets in Pindash

If you already track your costs in a spreadsheet, Pindash reads it: the real shipping you pay, fees, packaging, advertising that isn’t connected and monthly fixed costs. So you see what you really earn after every cost.

  • Only reads the sheet
  • Profit after other costs
  • On Pro and Business

What you see in Pindash

In Margins, your profit after other costs, by store and in total:

  • Profit = product margin after refunds + shipping charged − your other costs.
  • Each type of cost separately: real shipping, payment fees, packaging, unconnected advertising, other variable costs and monthly fixed costs.
  • Monthly fixed costs spread across the days and marked as prorated.
  • Real shipping coverage: which orders and days have a shipping cost. If some are missing, profit is labeled “Partial”.

A cost type with no entries in the period shows as “No data”, never as 0.

What data Pindash reads

The sheet
Only the sheet you publish as CSV, with the template’s columns: type, store, order, date or month, amount excluding VAT, currency and description.
When
Once a day and whenever you click “Refresh”. If a read fails, the costs from the last good read are kept.
Limits
Up to 5 sheets per account and 5,000 rows per sheet.

What it doesn’t read or change

  • Your Google account or any other sheet: we don’t ask for any Google permission.
  • Nothing is written to the sheet: you change costs in the sheet itself.

How to connect

  1. In Pindash, go to Margins → Other costs and download the template, or use its columns in your own sheet.
  2. In Google Sheets: File → Share → Publish to web, choose the tab and “Comma-separated values (.csv)”, and copy the link.
  3. In Pindash, under From Google Sheets, paste the link and click Connect and read.
  4. Pindash reads it again every day. To read it right away, click “Refresh”.

Anyone with the link can open a sheet published to the web. Put only your costs in it, with no customer data.

Requirements

  • A Pro and Business plan: other costs live in Margins.
  • Being the account owner or an admin to connect the sheet; the rest of the team can see the costs.
  • Amounts excluding VAT. Shipping can be per order (with its reference or number) or the day’s total; fixed costs, per month.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most about this integration.

Do I have to give access to my Google account?

No. Pindash only downloads the sheet you publish as CSV; it doesn’t ask for any Google permission.

What if I don’t use Google Sheets?

You can type each cost by hand in Margins or import a CSV with the same columns.

What happens when I change the sheet?

Pindash reads it again once a day, or right away with “Refresh”. If a read fails, it keeps the costs from the last good read and tells you why.

How do I disconnect it?

In Margins → Other costs, click “Disconnect”: the sheet is no longer read and its costs are deleted from Pindash.
